The Roots - How I Got Over
Just watching this shows me why Rolling Stones Magazine put them in the "20 Greatest
Live Acts of All Time" list. Only sad thing about the Roots crew is that theystill don't get
the recognition they deserve among their peers. Its arguable that they aren't pinned
down to one genre, cos they can do anything (hence the reason they are Jimmy Fallons
backing band on the Late Show). But they call themselves a Hip Hop Band
... and what comes first?? You know it.
Def going to cop this album when it drops on October 20th.
**FUN FACT**: See the dude with the fro' killing it on the drums? You may
have seen him Chappelle show a few times. But he has had his hand in the
industries cookie jar for a while now. Working alongside lumanaries such as
Joss Stone, Christina Aguilera, Madonna, Iggy Pop, Bruce Springsteen,
Fiona Apple,Lenny Kravitz, Jay-Z, N.E.R.D, Timbaland, Travis Barker
... to name a few.
